Fortnite Season 9’s well received Fortbyte begins to draw to a close, but not before creating one final puff of motivation for players to keep their Battle Pass up to date for the Season 9 finale. Today’s Fortbyte (Tuesday of Week 8) presents us with Fortbyte #75: Found Within An Airport Hanger.
The Fortbyte system is a season long series of daily challenges. Everyday at 2pm BST, a challenge is unlocked – usually in the form of a clue driven treasure hunt – that players can undertake. There are 100 of these challenges in total and completing them rewards players with Season 9 cosmetics like the Battle Pass does. For every individual Fortbyte unlocked, a small tile (in the shape of a Fortbyte) is removed from a large image comprised of Fortbyte styled tiles. This image is currently nearing completion and features Bunker Jonesy frantically writing on his bunker’s walls with pink and black ‘ink’.
This guide focuses on Fortbyte #75: Found Within An Airport Hanger, which following on from yesterday, is another non progress styled Fortbyte.
Fortnite Season 9 Fortbyte #75 Map
The airport hanger in question might not be immediately obvious to people who missed out on Season 7, especially now that the map doesn’t encourage much travel in that area due to Season 8 and 9 changes. But in the southwestern corner of the map is Frosty Flights, which as the name suggests houses two aircraft hangers (but no actual aircraft as they were retired at the end of Season 7). You’ll find it at A8 and B8 on the main map’s grid.
The Fortbyte itself is located in the westernmost of these two hangers. This is the hanger closest to the sea at the ‘end’ of the runway. This hanger is located A8 on the main map’s grid. If you enter the hanger through the ‘front’ entrance (where the plane would enter and exit from), the Fortbyte will be located in the back right corner (southwestern corner), under some metal storage shelves. Just run over and collect it to complete this Fortbyte in short order.
Fortbyte #75 Video Guide
Another non progression related Fortbyte is always welcome this late into Season 9. However, expect that as Week 9 challenges roll around, we’ll be receiving a fair few more progression gated Fortbytes as Epic is encouraging players to play by keeping their Battle Pass up to date.
That also being said, we only have roughly two weeks to complete them now, so if you’re not close to tier 100, you may have to consider putting some time aside to catch up if you’re aiming for 100% completion as one Fortbyte asks you to be at tier 100 on your Battle Pass.
