If you’ve been asleep for most of Fortnite Season 9, the Fortbytes system was introduced at the start of the season by Epic Games to keep players logging in daily. These Fortbytes are scavenger hunts in their majority with a new one unlocking each day at 2PM BST, but you can also unlock some Fortbytes from simply playing the game and levelling up your Battle Pass. You need 90 for the Utopia skin, which was recently revealed to be Singularity. No news on if you get anything for collecting all 100.

Fortbyte #20 Explainer

This is the most unique Fortbyte to date, it asking you to find a non-specific spot on the Fortnite map that changes every circle. There is no definitive spot where Fortbyte #20 will be for you.

As such, it’s a little tough to give instructions on how you can find it as it changes from match-to-match, but we will give you an outline.

 

Fortbyte #20 Location Tips

Fortbyte #20 asks that you get to the center of any of the first three storm circles, which is where you will find it. This is a bit of an oddity in the grand scheme of things: All Fortbytes to date have been at particular spots. This Fortbyte is also not one that was leaked from the v9.30 update files, so yeah, it’s a strange one indeed.

I would most of all recommend jumping into a game of Team Rumble. The circle almost immediately appears in the LTM and is quite small so getting to the center of a circle is a cakewalk. You can just leave once you have your Fortbyte and it will still count.

If you simply want to get your Fortbyte and keep playing a normal game of Fortnite, I would recommend landing in any of the central Fortnite areas. Places like Neo Tilted, Salty, Dusty, and maybe even Shifty Shafts are all central, and therefore more likely to be within the storm circle. Thanks to nearby slipstreams, you can also get to and from these without much hassle.

Don’t forget that you have three opportunities to collect this Fortbyte, but once the second circle starts, the Fortbyte will disappear from the first.
