Fortnite Season 9 Week 7 arrives and with it a new ‘week’ of Fortbytes for us to sink our teeth into. Today’s Fortbyte (Thursday of Week 7) presents us with Fortbyte #12: Accessible By Using The Nana Nana Spray Inside A Molten Tunnel.
For those just jumping into Season 9, the Fortbyte system is a set of daily challenges that are released at 2pm BST and often take the form of a treasure hunt challenge. There are 100 Fortbytes in total and collecting them nets you cosmetic rewards similar to Battle Pass cosmetics. Each individual Fortbyte that you collect also reveals a tile on a mosaic image. This image currently features Bunker Jonesy and a whole lot of pink ‘graffiti’.
This article focuses on Fortbyte #12: Accessible By Using The Nana Nana Spray Inside A Molten Tunnel, which is the fourth Fortbyte in a row to require significant Battle Pass progress to complete.
Fortbyte #12: Nana Nana Spray
The Nana Nana Spray is located at tier 57 of the Battle Pass, even higher than the last three Fortbytes. If this trend continues, Friday night may cap the week off with the Kyo (black) bag bling, which is located at tier 60, so keep that in mind with the weeklies just being released.
Fortnite Season 9 Fortbyte #12 Map
The molten tunnel in question is actually a landmark that’s been around since the battle royale release. This old tunnel used to be just south of Tomato Town/Tomato Temple, which has been retired as a named location. The tunnel itself has been filled with lava since the appearance of the Season 8 volcano, hence ‘molten’. The tunnel is located southwest of Pressure Plant, southeast of Lazy Lagoon and northeast of Dusty Divot, you can find the tunnel at G4 on the main map’s grid.
The Fortbyte itself is located inside this tunnel in plain sight, right next to the entrance to the stairwell leading up and out of the tunnel. Simply spray the Nana Nana spray near the Fortbyte and it’ll become available for collection.
Fortbyte #12 Video Guide
As this week of Fortbytes has demonstrated, Epic isn’t afraid of making its player base stay up to date with the Battle Pass if they also want to keep up to date with their Fortbytes. The cheapest and easiest way is to just keep on top of your dailies and weeklies. Otherwise you’ll be forced to grind up your level (or pay) to keep up and once you do fall behind, it’s quite difficult to catch up.
This Fortbyte follows on from Wednesday’s Fortbyte #59 and Tuesday’s Fortbyte #59, both of which required considerable investment into the Battle Pass to complete.
