Fortnite Season 9 is entering its twilight weeks and the Fortbyte system has proven to be quite successful at keeping players engaged into the later parts of a season. Today’s Fortbyte (Wednesday of Week 7) presents us with #100: Found On The Highest Floor Of The Tallest Building In Neo Tilted.
For those just jumping into Season 9 or aren’t familiar with the Fortbyte system, it can be best summed up as ‘weeklies in daily form’. Everyday at 2pm BST a challenge is released that often takes the form of a clue driven treasure hunt. There are 100 Fortbytes in total, each with an associated challenge. Collecting Fortbytes grants you cosmetic rewards similar to the Battle Pass and each individual Fortbyte reveals a tile from a large image comprised entirely of Fortbytes. Currently the image features some ominous scrawlings made by Bunker Jonesy.
This guide focuses on #100: Found On The Highest Floor Of The Tallest Building In Neo Tilted, which, thankfully, requires no Battle Pass progress to complete. Though, I’d do your Week 8 challenges if I were you — expect a lot more Battle Pass gated Fortbytes in the very near future.
Fortnite Season 9 Fortbyte #100 Map
As the challenge states, you’ll need to head to Neo Tilted to complete this Fortbyte challenge which occupies D5 and D6 on the main map’s grid.
Despite what many may think, the tallest building in Neo Tilted is not actually the Durrr Burger restaurant. There is a building on the northern edge of Neo Tilted, directly north of the Durrr Burger restaurant (and the small lake) that edges it out height wise. This building takes the form of an apartment building with two shorter apartment buildings to its east and west. You will find the building in D5 of the main map’s grid.
The Fortbyte itself is found inside the building at the very highest point of the penthouse apartment. Once you find yourself in the stairwell of the building, you can simply climb it to the top until the only way is a door. Go through that door and you’ll be in said penthouse apartment, follow the stairs inside this apartment up and you’ll see the Fortbyte by an ‘open window’. Alternatively, you could land on the roof of this building and try to jump in through that open window to collect it, which is faster, but could end with you splattered on the pavement.
Fortbyte #100 Video Guide
This is a somewhat tricky challenge as a large number of the playerbase would think the building that replaced ‘Trump Tower’ (the previous height record holder) would also be the tallest building in Neo Tilted. From a distance, this does look to be the case as it is almost as tall as the apartment building that houses the Fortbyte. Especially when you consider their giant ‘holographic’ billboards and antenna further confounds things.
As we’re in the third last week of Season 9 and there are still 37 tiers of Battle Pass rewards to be had, I wouldn’t count on many more challenges of this variety (i.e. pure map knowledge Fortbytes). So get working on those Week 8 challenges and Battle Pass progress.
