DYING LIGHT 2 LOCATIONS: Metro Stations | GRE Anomalies | Inhibitors | Military Airdrop
Inhibitors are essential in Dying Light 2 to help upgrade Aiden’s health and stamina, with each upgrade requiring three Inhibitors apiece.
Inhibitors can be found all across The City, from Old Villedor to Central Loop and even some places off the beaten track. Some are very hard to miss, others require you to defeat enemies, and others need you to do a lot of sleuthing. With 126 Inhibitors to track down, it’s quite the task to help Aiden reach his maximum, but luckily we’ve hunted down the Inhibitor locations for you.
Here are the Inhibitor locations across all zones in Dying Light 2, including Trinity, Horseshoe, Quarry End, Houndfield, Downtown, Garrison, New Dawn Park, Muddy Grounds, Lower Dam Ayre, The Wharf, Saint Paul Island, and Newfound Land.
Trinity Inhibitor Locations
Trinity Inhibitor Location #1
This Inhibitor is in the south on the roof of a medium sized building. Just walk through the open window on the top floor and then claim the Inhibitors from the container right inside.
Trinity Inhibitor Location #2
Two Inhibitors in Trinity are awarded for defeating the Revenant in GRE Anomaly C-A-05 in the east of the region. Make sure to visit them at night to take them on.
Trinity Inhibitor Location #3
A third Inhibitor can be found in Trinity (pretty much within Horseshoe) within a Dark Zone in the far east of the region. Be sure to come and check this out at night, otherwise you are in for a bad time. Also beware of the THV Chemicals.
Trinity Inhibitor Location #4
A fourth Inhibitor in Trinity can be found on the top floor of a store, just parkour up the storefront and walk in through the window and find the container on the right; beware the sleeping infected.
Trinity Inhibitor Location #5
Another Inhibitor is located deep within a building near the uppermost part of the region. Climb atop of the building here and walk through the open window/door. Beware all of the sleeping zombies once again as you make your way down, then climb through a chute and into next area. Again, avoiding the zombie, make your way past the chemicals and climb all the way up until you find the container.
Trinity Inhibitor Location #6
This Inhibitor container is locked away in a hut and can only be unlocked as part of the Revolution quest. Comes with three inhibitors instead of two.
Horseshoe Inhibitor Locations
Horseshoe Inhibitor Location #1
This Inhibitor is in the attic of a mission where you need to find Maya for a story mission called The Only Way Out. Hard to miss.
Horseshoe Inhibitor Location #2
If you’re feeling dangerous, head on over to the THV Genomics Center in the southeast of Horseshoe and find four Inhibitors waiting for you. Make sure you go at night, unless you want to immediately die.
Horseshoe Inhibitor Location #3
This next Inhibitor is hard to miss if you go to save Sophie at the Tango Motel as part of The Raid story mission. After climbing to the top floors of the motel, find this Inhibitor tucked away in one of the rooms.
Horseshoe Inhibitor Location #4
Another Inhibitor can be found at the top of the water tower in Horseshoe. Almost impossible to miss when completing the Water Tower quest for Sophie in which you must disarm explosives.
Quarry End Inhibitor Locations
Quarry End Inhibitor Location #1
This Inhibitor requires you to defeat the GRE Anomly C-A-01 that can only be encountered at night. Keep your distance and thin out their zombie hordes to win the day and claim your Inhibitors from the nearby trailer.
Quarry End Inhibitor Location #2
Another Inhibitor container can easily be found to the way northwest of Quarry End in a small underground area. Beware the infected if you’re exploring in the daytime.
Houndfield Inhibitor Locations
Houndfield Inhibitor Location #1
Located in the north of Houndfield, this inhibitor can be accessed through the roof of a container; use your GRE Key. Really close to a location for The Ball is in Your Court Side Quest in which you must deal with some bandits after helping out/siding against Hubie.
Houndfield Inhibitor Location #2
This Inhibitor in Houndfield is an absolute nightmare to get to. It can be found within the Military Airdrop THB-04B at St Joseph Hospital. Look for the above “ladder” on the east side, then keep climbing and jumping the yellow poles until you finally reach high enough to get the drop. Will need to be a high level with plenty of stamina.
Houndfield Inhibitor Location #3
In almost the middle of Houndfield, enter a church and then jump through a gap. The safe here houses an Inhibitor; the code is 101. There’s also a room here that can be activated as a safe zone.
Houndfield Inhibitor Location #4
Almost right next door to the last one, find four inhibitors by exploring the Center Stage IV THV Study GRE Quarantine Building (wow, that’s a mouthful) at night.
Houndfield Inhibitor Location #5
A fifth Houndfield Inhibitor can be found to the east of the Electric Station, curiously in the water. Swim down and search the container to nab a single Inhibitor.
Houndfield Inhibitor Location #6
Defeating GRE Anomaly C-A-22 will net you two Inhibitors alongside other precious loot. Find the anomaly in the south of Houndfield, not far from the electric station. Only available at night.
Houndfield Inhibitor Location #7
Another Inhibitor is yours if you unlock the metro station in Houndfield; only available after you first unlock fast travel.
Downtown Inhibitor Locations
Downtown Inhibitor Location #1
The first Inhibitor location you’ll find in Dying Light 2’s Downtown can’t be missed. It’s in the metro station that you exit at the start of the A Place To Call Home main story quest.
Downtown Inhibitor Location #2
Another Inhibitor in Downtown can’t be missed. Get the electric back on in the station in A Place To Call Home and two Inhibitors will be waiting in a container for you.
Downtown Inhibitor Location #3
Nab yourself some Inhibitors by defeating GRE Anomaly C-A-79 near central Downtown. Make sure to come prepared at night.
Downtown Inhibitor Location #4
Several Inhibitors can be found in the GRE Vaccine Lab in central Downtown. Only enter if it’s nighttime, otherwise you will have quite the sleepless night.
Downtown Inhibitor Location #5
Another Inhibitor can be found by opening the Military Airdrop THB-1L0, which is atop a building near the Downtown Thugs Bandit Camp. Follow the red and yellow and climb all the way up.
Downtown Inhibitor Location #5
If you liked that Inhibitor, there’s one to the left of it in the same building. Drop down, look for the yellow fabric, then jump in to the room. The Inhibitor is in the safe, the code is 313.
Downtown Inhibitor Location #6
Yet another Inhibitor can be found near the same Bandit Camp. Follow the route from the center of the camp and find the Inhibitor perched in a little container along a platform.
Downtown Inhibitor Location #7
There are so many Inhibitors in this area. Just to the south of the Bandit Camp, find an Inhibitor in a container on the top floor of a building with open windows. Beware the sleeping Infected inside.
Garrison Inhibitor Locations
Garrison Inhibitor Location #1
Take on the Revenant at GRE Anomaly C-A-78 in Garrison and nab yourself some Inhibitors. Remember to rock up at night, otherwise the Revenant won’t appear.
Garrison Inhibitor Location #2
Defeat the Revenant at GRE Anomaly C-A-55 to grab yourself two more Inhibitors in Garrison.
Garrison Inhibitor Location #3
Another Inhibitor is available as part of the Garrison Electrical Station cable puzzle. Once you get the gate open, use code 314 to open the safe and snag the Inhibitor.
Garrison Inhibitor Location #4
Claim an Inhibitor for unlocking the VNC Tower metro station in Garrison.
Garrison Inhibitor Location #5
Skulk into a Dark Hollow just to the south of a GRE Anomaly in Garrison and beware the chemicals, just keep crouching through holes in the wall. Make sure you explore at night.
Garrison Inhibitor Location #5
Get yourself am Inhibitor by opening the Military Airdrop THB-NW4 on top of a tower. Use the nearby air vents to get to the top.
Garrison Inhibitor Location #6
Find an Inhibitor (and a whole bunch of other loot) inside a trailer at the foot of the VNC Tower in Garrison. Use your GRE Key to open the door.
Garrison Inhibitor Location #7
Three Inhibitors can be found in a container during the Broadcast story quest. Cannot be missed, cannot be collected before the quest either.
Garrison Inhibitor Location #8
It’s better to do this one just before you sort out the transmitter at the end of the Broadcast story quest. When making your way to the very top of the VNC Tower, grapple and jump over and over again until you get through the open window seen above for one Inhibitor. Cannot be collected before the quest.
Garrison Inhibitor Location #9
Military Airdrop THB-UT0 houses an Inhibitor. Easy to get to if you just glide from the top of the VNC Tower right after the Broadcast story quest.
Garrison Inhibitor Location #10
Three Inhibitors are in the same room as an essential item for the story quest The Shoe. Cannot be missed as long as you keep playing the story.
New Dawn Park Inhibitor Locations
New Dawn Park Inhibitor Location #1
Slightly to the northeast of the bar, find a container with one Inhibitor inside underneath a parkour challenge in a spacious building.
New Dawn Park Inhibitor Location #2
This Inhibitor is a reward for unlocking fast travel from Metro: Newalls Crossing. Can only be completed at night.
New Dawn Park Inhibitor Location #3
Snatch another Inhibitor in New Dawn Park as part of the Orders quest when you have to save Rowe. Cannot be missed, also can’t be unlocked any earlier.
Muddy Grounds Inhibitor Locations
Muddy Grounds Inhibitor Location #1
Clear Metro: King William Bridge in the south of Muddy Grounds and net yourself a fancy Inhibitor for your troubles, as well as fast travel.
Lower Dam Ayre Inhibitor Locations
Lower Dam Ayre Inhibitor Location #1
There’s an Inhibitor in a container under a bridge in the north of Lower Dam Ayre. Jump off the bridge and swim down to find it.
Lower Dam Ayre Inhibitor Location #2
Beating GRE Anomaly C-A-34 will net you two Inhibitors in the west of Lower Dam Ayre. It’s time for that line again: the Revenant is only present at night.
Lower Dam Ayre Inhibitor Location #3
Round 2? Beating GRE Anomaly C-A-23 in Lower Dam Ayre will net you another two Inhibitors. Can only be done at night. However, somewhat surprisingly, there’s another Inhibitor under the bridge; jump down and open the container to claim it.
Lower Dam Ayre Inhibitor Location #4
Four Inhibitors are up for grabs at THV Advanced Care in the west of Lower Dam Ayre. If you’ve collected all Inhibitors from GRE Quarantine zones up until this point, you will unlock an achievement.
Lower Dam Ayre Inhibitor Location #5
Two Inhibitors are yours if you can get on the roof to the north of the South Loop Radio Tower. Much easier to do with the Grappling Hook and an upgraded paraglider. Also hard to miss if you’re doing the Satellite Dream side quest.
Lower Dam Ayre Inhibitor Location #6
In the northeast of Lower Dam Ayre, find an Inhibitor underneath a bridge in the water.
Lower Dam Ayre Inhibitor Location #7
Military Airdrop THB-4UL holds an Inhibitor for you atop the church. Use the Grappling Hook liberally to get up here.
Lower Dam Ayre Inhibitor Location #8
Liberate the Heron Renegados Bandit Camp in the south of Lower Dam Ayre then venture down into the courtyard and help yourself to a little Inhibitor, as a treat.
Lower Dam Ayre Inhibitor Location #9
Defeating the renegades and opening up Metro: South Loop will also open you up to another Inhibitor.
Chemical Wastes Inhibitor Locations
Chemical Wastes Inhibitor Location #1
This is west of Garrison and so close to it that it could well be included, but it’s actually in an unnamed region that we’ve called the Chemical Wastes. On your way towards the Observatory, jump in the water and get yourself a free Inhibitor.
Chemical Wastes Inhibitor Location #2
Defeat the Revenant at night at GRE Anomaly C-A-67 to net yourself two Inhibitors in the Chemical Wastes.
The Wharf Inhibitor Locations
The Wharf Inhibitor Location #1
Four Inhibitors are yours for exploring GRE Experiment Research in the south of The Wharf. Remember to only explore at night, unless you want to fight a volatile.
The Wharf Inhibitor Location #2
Unlocking fast travel from the Waterside Metro Station in the west of The Wharf will net you an Inhibitor. You can only clear the station at night.
The Wharf Inhibitor Location #3
Defeating the Revenant at GRE Anomaly C-A-83 to the west of The Wharf will net you the customary 2 Inhibitors. Can only be done at night.
The Wharf Inhibitor Location #4
Use the grappling hook to get halfway up this tall building in The Wharf, then nab yourself an Inhibitor from inside. You can also paraglide from the Downtown Thugs Bandit Camp to the west in Downtown to reach it. It’s a lot of platforming, but you can get to the safe zone at the top as well.
Saint Paul Island Inhibitor Locations
Saint Paul Island Inhibitor Location #1
Descend the depths of the THV-GenMod Development Center at night to unlock four Inhibitors on Saint Paul Island. That’s a whole new level right there on its own.
Saint Paul Island Inhibitor Location #2
Defeating the Revenant at GRE Anomaly C-A-91 will net you two sweet ol’ Inhibitors for your trouble. Must be taken on at night.
Saint Paul Island Inhibitor Location #3
At the Saint Paul Electrical Station, dive underwater in the B section to get an Inhibitor from a container.
Saint Paul Island Inhibitor Location #4
At the top of the Church of Saint Thomas, go one level up from Military Airdrop THB-1N4 and find a small safe and enter the code 444 to get an Inhibitor. If you want the note that goes with the code, climb another level and open the box. Feel free to complete the easter egg with the cables a floor down as well.
Saint Paul Island Inhibitor Location #5
Clearing Metro: Cathedral will help you fast travel back to this area and also give you a little Inhibitor for your troubles. Nice.
Saint Paul Island Inhibitor Location #6
As part of the Cathedral story quest, glide when you’re on the chandeliers going towards where you first encountered Leto to reach a platform above. Alternatively, when you finally get through the door that Leto first came from, climb up the ladder near the collapsed bell and walk through the doors on your right. Open the container you find there and snatch the two Inhibitors inside.
Newfound Land Inhibitor Locations
Newfound Land Inhibitor Location #1
You probably know this pattern by now, 100 Inhibitors in: defeating the Revenant at GRE Anomaly C-A-56 to unlock two Inhibitors.
Newfound Land Inhibitor Location #2
If playing the Wall of Valor: Lost Transmission side quest, you should be able to find this container near Brasco’s body in the basement at the Newfound Land Military Relay. Rest in peace.
Newfound Land Inhibitor Location #3
Another container with an Inhibitor can be found just east of #2 in the water; dive down to get it.
Newfound Land Inhibitor Location #4
You can find yet another container with an Inhibitor just further out in the water, which is pretty much in the middle of about ten Sunken Airdrops. Find it at the base of a statue.
Newfound Land Inhibitor Location #5
Keep on swimming and find yourself at a bridge to the north. A container has the Inhibitors you need under the water.
Newfound Land Inhibitor Location #6
To the west, find another Inhibitor next to a car underwater under the very same bridge.
