The latest trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (or TMNT: OotS, for those who prefer their acronyms overly cumbersome) has been released and is exactly what you’d expect.
Explosions in populated areas, our green-skinned heroes partying, and Megan Fox (reprising her role as reporter April O’Neil) showing some skin, for no apparent reason. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Michael Bay film (again credited as producer) without some painfully unfunny gags.
Several fan favourites are introduced including Bebop and Rocksteady, who finally take their mutated form. We’re also introduced to hockey stick-wielding Casey Jones (played by Stephen Amell of Arrow fame), who looks less like a street-smart vigilante and more like, well, a well-to-do trust fund kid playing superhero.
From what we see here, it looks like more of the same. There doesn’t appear to be anything here that might sway the opinions of those who didn’t like the original. But if you liked that one, then this looks like it has everything you’re looking for.
