Cyberpunk 2077’s Braindance Editor Lets You Take A Trip In Someone’s Memories

CD Projekt Red showcased a host of new gameplay footage and details yesterday for Cyberpunk 2077 as part of their first Night City Live presentation, but one feature that looks incredibly promising is the Braindance Editor. Essentially, it’s a tool that lets you experience the memories of others to gather new information. Check out the feature in action below.

In the footage, we see main character V and their accomplice Judy analyse the robbery of a small shop, which ends in the death of the robber. While inside the Braindance Editor, V can relive the memory through the robber’s eyes, before pulling out to a free camera that can analyse and scan the full scene. It’s through this that you can discover the truth behind the robber’s death.

It’s a feature similar to Remember Me’s memory remixes, except here it doesn’t seem like you can actually alter someone’s memory. Perhaps that’s the next level of Braindancing that we’ll see in the full game, who knows? Either way, it’s an intriguing feature and one that I hope is used for more than just one quest in the game. Are you excited to play Cyberpunk 2077 when it launches on November 19th? Sound off in the comments.
