When Does Fortnite OG End?

Fortnite OG

For Fortnite players of a certain vintage, Fortnite OG may just go down as one of the best seasons to ever come to the game. From returning weapons to the iconic map to maybe even returning friends, Fortnite OG has been a giant trip down memory lane that’s smashed player records. But all things must come to an end, so when is Fortnite OG wrapping up?

Fortnite OG is currently scheduled to end following the conclusion of the Big Bang Event on December 2nd, 2023 at 2PM ET/7PM GMT. Once the event is concluded, which could be a pretty long one with tonnes of things to do like the Fracture event, the game will go into downtime, effectively bringing Fortnite OG and Chapter 4 with it to a close. Chapter 5 will launch most likely the very next day, taking the old map back into the vault with it.

Fortnite OG will actually wind up as being the shortest season of Fortnite on record at just 29 days long, with the second shortest being the very first season at just 49 days. In fact, it’s shorter than even the pre-season of Chapter 1, which lasted for just 43 days. It’s clear that Epic didn’t want the nostalgia effect to wear off or for fans to get bored of the season in general, so it will be interesting to see if they start experimenting with shorter and shorter seasons in general.

Remember to try and grind out your Chapter 1-inspured OG Pass before December 2nd, as you won’t be able to earn anything from it after that point. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. There are plenty of challenges you can complete to speed up the process, but it shouldn’t take too long as it’s a much smaller Battle Pass than normal.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
