VR Title The Walking Dead Onslaught Launches Next Month

Let's hope it's better than Survival Instinct, eh?

Survivos have announced that their VR adaptation of The Walking Dead TV show, called TWD: Onslaught, will be launching on VR devices on September 29th. This includes all PC VR platforms and PSVR too, so no matter your expensive equipment, you’ll be able to play. Check out the trailer below, which YouTube apparently thinks is Dying Light.

The Walking Dead Onslaught has been in the works for a while now, but this is the first we’ve seen of the gameplay for over a year now. Players will be able to control a number of key characters from the TV show, including Daryl, Rick and Michonne specifically. Unless there’s another grey haired character in the show that I’ve forgotten about, it looks like you can play as Carol too. Personally, I think they’re missing a trick if they don’t include Negan in some way. Lucille is thirsty.

Again, this is based on the TV show, unlike the other Walking Dead VR title, Saints and Sinners. Time will tell to see how the two will match up against each other, but if you’re interested in Onslaught, pre-ordering the game will offer new skins for Rick and Daryl, along with a golden katana and knuckle knife weapon. Will you be playing The Walking Dead Onslaught when it launches next month? Let us know.
