It’s fair to say that Fortnite: Season 3 – Week 4’s challenges may be one of the most interesting weeks of challenges for the game in a long old while. There are quite a few challenges that feel like the challenges of Chapter 1, rather than the mundane stuff we’ve been getting since the launch of Chapter 2.
The usual suspects are still here, of course. You will once again need to get fighting at The Authority and search ammo boxes and chests, but there is also a dancing challenge, as well as one vehicle-based challenge on top of another scavenger hunt for Floating Rings.
If you’re trying to blitz your way through your Battle Pass, these challenges, which go live at the normal time, should give you plenty of fun. Here’s everything you need to know about them.

Plenty that seems fun here, but it’s getting crazy how much Epic wants you to do stuff at The Authority at this point. That chest-based challenge also seems like an absolute pain, almost like the infamous Risky Reels one.

Week 4 Challenges Cheat Sheet
Search Chests at Salty Springs (7) – 35000 XP
This one might drive everyone a little crazy. Salty Springs is a busy enough place with too few chests as it is, so this challenge to open seven chests in total is likely one that you will have to be working through over time.
Eliminations at Holly Hedges – 35000 XP
Holly Hedges is a somewhat popular POI on the Fortnite map, so you definitely won’t struggle to find some targets while you’re here. There’s a decent amount of loot, too.
Collect Floating Rings at Pleasant Park – 35000 XP
Similarly to last week’s challenge at Lazy Lake, Floating Rings will be all around this POI. All you need to do is find them ASAP and try not to get shot by the dozens of people who are likely trying the same thing.
Complete a lap at Motorboat Mayhem – 35000 XP
Motorboat Mayhem is located at E7 on the Fortnite grid. All you need to do is drop there, jump in a boat, drive to the starting line, and then follow the route laid out by the rings. May be difficult right at the start of the new challenges releasing.
Collect Metal from Rickety Rig (200) – 35000 XP
Rickety Rig is almost entirely metal and also quite the large POI, so this one shouldn’t be too much of an issue at all. C7/C8 on the Fortnite grid.
Dance on camera for 10 seconds at Sweaty Sands – 35000 XP
A nice throwback to challenges of yore, there is a camera in the south of Sweaty Sands that you simply have to dance in front of with almost any emote for ten seconds and this challenge will be ticked off your list.
Search Ammo Boxes at Steamy Stacks (7) – 35000 XP
Steamy Stacks is right in the northeast of the map and usually devoid of other players, so hopefully they won’t turn up while you hunt down all the Ammo Boxes.
Deal damage to opponents at The Authority (500) – 35000 XP
You know the deal by now with The Authority. Simply land here and hope that you are lucky enough to deal damage to other players before they deal too much damage to you.
Land at Frenzy Farm and finish Top 25 – 35000 XP
In previous seasons, this may have been tricky. But in Season 3, everyone seems to get eliminated rather quickly. You could probably land in a barn and just wait it out for a few minutes until there are only 25 players remaining.
