Fortnite: When Do New Challenges Go Live?

We did some maths for this, the biggest challenge of all.

Fortnite challenges are a tradition, one that entails you doing a set amount of things each week to earn more XP on your way towards completing your Battle Pass. While Chapter 2 introduced a tonne of new ways to farm XP, the challenges are still the quickest way of levelling up each week.

Challenges go live in Fortnite every Thursday from 2PM BST/6AM PDT/8AM CDT/9AM EDT. Please note that these times are subject to change, though this is the traditional time all challenges go out.

You will need the Battle Pass in order to see the rewards from completing these weekly challenges as the XP is for Battle Pass progression.

Fortnite’s weekly challenges give players 25,000 XP each. This drop in XP is compensated by how many punchcards you have to fill out, which gives you millions of XP in total throughout the season.

You can also complete secret storyline challenges throughout the map, the hidden gnomes as an example.

Eight challenges will be released each week, with there being one challenge that gives out more XP than the rest. These challenges are intended to be completed with your squad as they take a lot longer and give out 50,000 XP for completion.

As for how long you have to complete challenges in Fortnite, you have until the end of every season. This means that if you did not complete specific challenges for cosmetics, you will not be able to complete them afterwards.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
