Football Manager 2022: How To Add Real Kits

Football Manager 2022 brings another season of simming success, bringing your minnows to the top of the mountain. While Sports Interactive do a good job of realism and immersion, there’s something that they can’t quite manage due to licensing: real kits for every team across the globe. Watford probably isn’t enough for most players.

Luckily, thanks to a few simple steps, you can add your own real kits in Football Manager 2022. If you’ve ever done this before in previous Football Manager games, it’s the same trick as always for the most recent edition, but if you’re new or just need a refresher, read on for all the information you need to add Football Manager 2022 kits from clubs across the Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, and more.

Where To Find The Best Football Manager 2022 Kit Packs

Installing real kits first involves you hunting down kit packs online. There are a few places online where you can download these kits that always deliver the goods:

These kit packs makers have been around for a long time and have been providing quality kits for just as long. Bear in mind that they typically add to and tweak their kit packs over time, so you will also have to download these updates if you want a comprehensive collection of kits.

Don’t be alarmed by the file sizes on these kit packs; it’s a lot of kits.

How To Install Football Manager 2022 Kit Packs

You don’t need any modding knowledge or anything to use real kits in Football Manager 2022, just File Explorer on your PC and a kit pack.

Drag and drop your kit pack into Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2022.

Then, go into the Football Manager 2022 folder and add a new folder called graphics. The kit pack will need to be unzipped, so right click the folder, select unzip, and then drag and drop those unzipped files into the new graphics folder.

Now it’s time to go into Football Manager 2022 itself.

Either from the main menu or in a save, go to Preferences > Advanced > Interface > Skin and then tick off use caching to decrease page loading times. In addition, tick on reload skin when confirming changes in preferences just below it. Hit confirm or reload skin at the bottom.

All being well, the kits will then be loaded into your game.

Kit pack not working? Make sure you’ve unzipped the pack before adding it to the folder. Otherwise, clear your cache in preferences and then restart your game, and you should then have real kits in-game.
