Cooking in Tales of Arise becomes available shortly after you start exploring with Shionne for the first time. You are able to cook food at a campfire before resting, which will give you a small boost.
Lettuce can also be sold to merchants for a small amount of gald. Lettuce sells for 15 gald apiece, making it a decent material to sell if you want to earn some quick gald as it’s quite common.
