Outriders has finally launched on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, and through Xbox Game Pass for console, and it offers a brilliant and enjoyable looter shooter experience that you and up to two friends can enjoy. However, as with all looter shooters, there’s a lot of systems and resources to wrap your head around, one of them being Iron.

Iron can be found in certain areas when exploring the game world as ore. You’ll simply need to walk over to the harvesting spot, hold the interact button and wait for the Iron to pop. Iron can also be found when looting chests or from disassembling your weapons, meaning selling your weapons for scrap isn’t always the most profitable solution.

You use Iron in the crafting process, as it’s a currency used to improve your weapons much in the same way that leather is used, in order to improve your weapons in the crafting process, changing out mod slots and so on. Iron is a pretty common commodity, and you’ll need it if you’re planning on keeping up with the game’s World Tiers.
