Subject – Call from Mom

I just got a call from my mother that I’m more than a little concerned over. She said that her and dad are leaving the farm. The Administration said the entire area was being moved to an inclusion sector. According to Dad, some of the guys in town have heard that there might be attacks in the area and it isn’t safe anymore. It’s the first I’ve heard of any attacks in rural areas, weren’t the last bombings we had in Miami? Didn’t they happen two years ago? This sounds like bullshit to me, Administration moving people around to develop the land.

I shouldn’t doubt them though, if Mom and Dad are in danger then they should move to the inclusion sectors. I just hope they’re nicer in  San Francisco than they are round here. I let my mom talk about how nice and easily accessible the sectors were, how they needed to downsize with age. Jeez, I could have broken down at the thought of her living in those huts next to Midnight in A Perfect World. I’ll have to call Jo, ask her what these Inclusion Sectors are like, ask her if she’ll help me move mom and dad in when they get here.

There was a protest of something down in Inner Commerical while me Fixxxer and Lone_Shark were eating out today. We heard some noise coming from under a railway bridge and went to take a look. We couldn’t see much, just some figures appearing out of the smog. There were tons of CP standing between us and the mob, sounded like people in that tunnel were really angry.

Someone on the street told us that they were from the inclusion sectors, they’d arranged to meet in the commercial sector and stage a protest for better housing. Just makes me feel even more worried about Mom and Dad moving into one of these places. I really hope they’ll be alright.

C.P broke the protest up pretty quickly, I heard something scraping on the concrete, a few gunshots, they must have been pretty harsh. Wish I could have seen what went on, that’s the natural journalist in me I guess. I need to get out of here one way or another, this is a such a crazy city, so much harsher than the news makes it out to be. I’m not sure whether that’s the fault of the citizens or the administration anymore.

Can’t wait to get home
