Marvel’s Avengers Beta: Will Progress Carry Over To The Main Game?

No. But please click anyway.

Marvel’s Avengers is getting a slew of pre-order and open betas between now and its full release in September. The first pre-order beta begins today, August 7th, exclusively for pre-order players on PS4, but will you be able to carry over that progress into the main game?

The short answer is no. While progress between betas will be stored until the final beta on the 21st, meaning that your character from one beta will be available in another, any progress from the betas will not transfer to the main game.

This might be a shame for some players, but it’s worth bearing in mind that these betas are unfinished versions of the game, which is bound to be updated and tweaked many times before launch day, meaning that it would be a technical nightmare to figure out.

As for what the beta entails, you will be able to play 4 Hero Missions from the Campaign, 3 HARM Room challenges, 4 War Zones, and 5 Drop Zones. Completing all of those HARM challenges will also unlock a free cosmetic in Fortnite, if that’s your sort of thing and you have all accounts linked.

Marvel’s Avengers has been embroiled in a little bit of controversy of late due to the PS4 exclusivity of Spider-Man as a playable character.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the betas, including start times and more. Marvel’s Avengers releases September 4th for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Stadia with nex-gen versions due next year.
