Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season 2 is kicking off with an all-out showdown between IO and the forces of the island, but it’s fair to say that it hasn’t brought many changes to the Season 2 map just yet.

There doesn’t appear to be any new POIs or named locations from a glance, with most of them remaining the same from the start of Chapter 3, though that makes sense seeing as how the map was brand new and full of new locations already. However, there does seem to be some impact to the map from the war.

Here’s the map for Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season 2.

Not drastically different at first glance, but if you look closely, you will see some effects of warfare.

Here is a blimp hovering over Rocky Reels, which might actually be drivable as the season progresses. These seem to be all over the map for this season.

Here’s a closer look at these blimps, which do actually seem to share a design with the helicarriers from Marvel.

The map also seems to be showing the signs of war, with the battle leaving “scars” of conflict like these on the map.

That’s just about all that jumps out at the start of the season, but remember that if you’re disappointed by how little the map has changed at the start of Season 2, it will almost certainly look different. Every single Fortnite season to date has seen some kind of map change over the course of however many weeks they’re on for, and with Season 2 being all about war, there’s very little chance it will all remain the same.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
