The main premise of Fortnite LEGO is to create a village, attracting new LEGO friends to live there and then telling them to get to work on collecting stuff for you. In order to accomplish that, you’ll need to both build a village square, and then increase the village’s level.
In order to build a village square, head into the build menu and select the Village Square item in the Utility tab. You can only build the square after you’ve gone through some of the tutorial sections, which teach you about building a crafting bench and other items.
Once you’ve built your Village Square and placed it in an appropriate area, interact with the Square and you’ll be able to view the Village Upgrades. Starting from level one, you’ll be able to unlock new upgrades for your village, which range from adding more villagers to your village, setting them to work on jobs, or you’ll start receiving gifts from villagers. Levelling up your village also unlocks access to new recipes, such as additional tools, new stations and new village structures.
In order to upgrade your village, you’ll need to “add to your village”, which means adding new structures, stations and other buildings to your village. On top of that, you’ll need to donate a specific amount of certain items too. In order to hit level 2, you need 15 granite and 15 wood, for example, but the items and amounts change as your village levels up.
Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.
