For RPG fans, one of the most anticipated games of all-time right now is Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, the fourth installment in the long-running series from Bioware. Since the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition, fans have been waiting patiently for the next installment, with Bioware confirming that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be coming to PC and consoles in the future.

As Dragon Age: Inquisition is currently available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate thanks to EA Play, many are wondering whether Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will also be available on Xbox Game Pass. Here’s everything that you need to know.

As of right now, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf hasn’t been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass at launch, meaning if you want to experience the fourth installment of this iconic RPG franchise, you’ll have to shell out for it. That being said, this doesn’t mean that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf won’t coming to Xbox Game Pass at all, as like we said earlier, Dragon Age: Inquisition is currently available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and all games that are included on EA Play are also included in Game Pass Ultimate.

The Dragon Age games are published by EA, and typically games from EA end up on the EA Play service after a while. All previous Dragon Age games are currently available on the service, and because EA Play is available as part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, that means you can play Dragon Age through Game Pass. Because of this, we can expect that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will make its way to Game Pass too eventually.

About Dragon Age: Dreadwolf

The Dragon Age games are a series of action RPGs that follow player created characters as they explore a vibrant world filled with monsters, conspiracies and the opportunities for romance. While each game boasts individual differences in terms of gameplay and story, all of them share the same choice-first narrative hooks that Bioware have become known for, thanks to games like Mass Effect.

Other than the name, not much is known about Dragon Age: Dreadwolf except for the fact that Dreadwolf will follow on from the events of Inquisition and its DLC releases, specifically regarding the fate of Solas after the ending of Trespasser. Reportedly, Dreadwolf has been in development since 2015, though the game has suffered multiple delays and setbacks over the years.

As for when we might see Dragon Age: Dreadwolf gracing our shelves, Bioware and EA haven’t confirmed a release date for the upcoming RPG yet. At the earliest, we’re looking at a mid-to-late 2024 release for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, which should give players enough time to make their way through the Baldur’s Gate 3 campaign between now and then.
