Animal Crossing: New Horizons: What Does The Arcade Fighting Game Do?

Arcade Fighting Game New Horizons

There is a lot of stuff in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, so much so that you could play it for hundreds of hours and still not see all of its goodies. One such item that you can buy is the Arcade Fighting Game.

Taking the form of a classic arcade cabinet, the Arcade Fighting Game is a floor-based item that can be placed anywhere. It will set you back a not insignificant 64,000 Bells to buy from Nook’s Cranny.

If you want to buy it again, you can purchase it from the terminal in Resident Services for the same price. We’re not sure if it can be found via a balloon or given as a gift by an islander, but it does rotate in to Nook’s Cranny again down the line if you didn’t buy it before.

As for what the item does, you can press A to make a punching sounds as if in-game. Once you’ve placed it down, it will always be on and cannot turn off, meaning that it will constantly make noise, though it’s not especially loud.

If you’re making a retro gaming area, the Arcade Fighting Game should definitely be one of the items you try to get. We have a fairground featuring the Arcade Fighting Game and lots of other stuff and it’s very pleasant.

Need to earn a whole load of Bells to buy this item? Make sure you check out how to predict your turnip prices throughout the week.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. From our review:

“New Horizons is a great continuation of an already fantastic series of games, and paying back Tom Nook’s loan has never been so fun.”
