Animal Crossing: New Horizons: All Bugs & Fish Leaving At the End of May

These dudes are bugging out.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game that won’t let its players grow bored, which is why the start of every month brings a whole new bunch of critters to catch. While the game gives, it also takes away — there are plenty of fish and bugs leaving in New Horizons after the end of May.

From June 1st, some of the game’s best and also most annoying critters will no longer be available to catch, including one of the most sought after and valuable fish in the whole game.

Here, then, is everything leaving New Horizons at the end of May for both the northern and southern hemispheres. It’s worth noting that there’s only a few critters leaving the northern hemispheres, whereas the southern hemisphere is receiving more or less a full makeover with so many fish and bugs leaving.

These critters are all making way for the new bugs and fish in New Horizons for June.

It’s worth bearing in mind that although these critters will be leaving, they will also be returning at various times during the calendar year. All fish and bugs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be rotated in and out every year, though this does mean that you have to wait close a whole year for some critters to return.

That is, of course, unless you utilise time travel to go to a specific time and date in New Horizons and catch any bugs and fish you may have missed.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which is out now exclusively for Switch, is going to constantly bug you to play it, but in a good way. From our review:

“New Horizons is a great continuation of an already fantastic series of games, and paying back Tom Nook’s loan has never been so fun.”
