Fortnite Season 7 Guide: Use A Rift Or Rift-To-Go In Different Matches & Rift Locations

Not sure of the Rift locations in Fortnite Season 7? We have some very obvious pointers to help you out.

Another week, another set of Battle Pass challenges for Fortnite that’ll help you unlock a bunch of stuff you will immediately grow bored of — looking at you here, banners. The Week 7 challenges are now out for Season 7 and are fairly varied but still relatively straightforward to tick off your list. There’s only maybe one that will be a bit of a nuisance to help you on your way to Snowfall.

The game asks you to Use A Rift Or Rift-To-Go In Different Matches as part of Week 7’s Battle Pass challenges, which may have been a total doddle a couple of seasons ago when Rifts were all the rage. Their numbers have certainly dwindled since then with only a few spots holding reliable Rifts; they may appear sometimes, but not always.

You’re probably thinking of Paradise Palms or Viking Village as two of the most obvious locations to use a Rift, but there’s somewhere that is far less stressful to land, especially since some underground renovations were added: Wailing Woods.

Located in the northeast corner of the map, Wailing Woods is one of the best landing spots in Fortnite as it’s usually dead and full of mats in the form of the forest itself. If you make your way over to the main building almost in the center of Wailing Woods, break down until you find yourself in a secret facility.

From here, all you have to do is simply walk through the portals (apparently the game classifies them as Rifts) dotted all around the room in three different games and dust this challenge off without much fuss. Bear in mind that you have to either win or die for the completion to count: I achieved it in Team Rumble to do the other damage and elimination focused challenges at the same time but found myself having to finish the match first.

Don’t forget that this facility also hosts a “traditional” Rift that can be used infinitely throughout a match and will shoot you up into the air if you need a quick getaway or if the first circle is not in your favour.
