The Terminal List was one of 2022’s most exciting shows. It featured Chris Pratt, everyone’s favorite — and the only — Star-Lord, as the estranged Ex-Navy SEAL James Peerce who was trying to unravel a conspiracy that grew thicker with each passing minute. Though it’s that same feeling of intrigue which kept viewers on the edge of their seats the whole way through. With the viewership so high, many anticipated that The Terminal List: Season 2 would eventually be announced, but it seems like we’re getting our Christmas presents early this year.
In February 2023, Amazon renewed the show for a second season, which means The Terminal List: Season 2 is officially a go, and surprisingly that’s not all. Besides continuing the story of James Peerce, Amazon has also decided on expanding the franchise further by ordering a prequel series, so we’re getting not one, but two new installments, and here’s everything you need to know about them.
When Is The Terminal List: Season 2 Coming Out?
Unfortunately, there is no release date for The Terminal List: Season 2. Unlike Amazon Prime’s Invincible: Season 2 which is returning later this year, the next chapter of James Peerce’s exploits doesn’t look likely to arrive around the same time. Seeing as the show was recently renewed, we’re in for a long haul, until at least late 2024.
Apart from The Terminal List: Season 2, there’s also an unnamed prequel centered around Ben Edwards coming. Which one of them comes first we don’t know yet, but what’s for sure is that the future of the franchise rests in safe hands.
The Terminal List is based on a series of thriller novels written by Jack Carr, and currently, the saga spans six books in total. Season 1 adapted the first of those books, and five yet remain with there being a strong possibility that each of them may be turned into a complete season, well, as long as the ratings don’t plummet.
Who Is In The Cast of The Terminal List: Season 2?
The first season’s finale was a total bloodbath, most of the supporting cast died brutally, with James Reece as the last man standing. For The Terminal List: Season 2, we can say with surety that Chris Pratt will be back as Reece.
Constance Wu should be returning as Katie Buranek as well, her exit was enigmatic, but it’s obvious that she’ll return. The same, however, can’t be said of Taylor Kitsch‘s Ben Edwards who died in the season finale, but since there is a prequel series in the works about Ben and the events leading up to The Terminal List, Taylor will be around for quite some time. The second book in the novels by Jack Carr, True Believer, introduces many new characters, the most important of which is Raife Hastings. He’s James’ war buddy who has been name-dropped often in the show, albeit the casting for him remains unknown.
There’s likely going to be a refresh of the entire cast, though if James starts having flashbacks of his family again, Riley Keough and Arlo Mertz may reprise their roles as Lauren and Lucy, respectively. In what way The Terminal List: Season 2 plays out, that’ll depend heavily on the showrunners and Amazon Prime, but if there’s one thing the books have taught us, it’s that wherever James goes, enthralling schemes and fights always seem to lurk close by.
