Tom Holland Thinks Chris Pratt or Jake Gyllenhaal Should Play Sully In the Uncharted Movie

Drake and Sully

Hey, remember the Uncharted movie? The video game adaptation that missed the boat on the most perfect casting ever with Nathan Fillion playing Nathan Drake? Well, it has Tom Holland playing a young Drake now, in case you missed the news.

The star of the upcoming Spider-Man Homecoming has an interesting choice to portray Drake in an origin story, the hints of which were seen in Uncharted 3 and 4. With Sully, Drake’s role model, likely to be cast before too long, Holland weighed in on who he’d like to see play the part.

Chris Pratt or Jake Gyllenhaal. Interesting.

From an interview with Yahoo! Movies:

“I think Jake Gyllenhaal could be really cool. But I actually went to the Jurassic World 2 film set the other day to visit my friend who’s directing it and Chris Pratt is on that film, who I’ve become very good friends with over the last few months. I think he would be a great Sully, I think it could be cool. Because if it was an older movie, I would say that Chris should play Nathan, but I think he would be a cool Sully, and I love working with Chris, so if I could work with Chris some more that would be great.”

Not a bad choice, because if anyone’s going to make a video game adaptation into pure money, it will be Pratt. But it’s hard to see the similarities in character or even appearance. Someone like Josh Brolin, maybe. But not Pratt or Gyllenhaal to a lesser extent.

The Uncharted movie is years away, but what would you like to see from it? Drop your opinion in the comment-hole below.
