New Red Dead Redemption 2 Gameplay Leak Reveals First-Person

With just under two days to go until Red Dead Redemption 2 is in our hands, we’ve had the closest look at its gameplay to date. Sadly, it was captured on what looks like a Nokia 3510 through a CRT TV, but heck: we’ll take what we can get at this point.

You can check out the footage for yourself down below, which seems to have been uploaded to YouTube by someone from Russia.

Obviously it’s harder to pick up the little details when the quality is this limited, but the first-person seems pretty smooth and the transition between both perspectives is painless. It’s also weirdly satisfying to see Arthur climb on top of someone and beat them up, as well as the fact that the player has let him grow his hair and beard out.

Elsewhere in Red Dead Redemption 2, the game will have a companion app that works similarly to the one for GTA V. It will give players intel on what they need to and access to the map at any time, which seems to make buying the official guide seem pointless.

In addition, we also recently saw fourty seconds of far crisper combat as well as a full leak of the game’s map. It’s all coming out now that some people are getting copies early, but Friday feels super close so maybe we won’t see much more. Just stay vigilant for any heavy story spoilers — you know the way humanity is.
