Meet the Vultures: Léon Othenin-Girard

Meet the Vultures Leon

Hey, Léon! How are you? What was the last thing you ate and what would you rate it out of ten?
Hey, I’m doing pretty fine, thanks. I’m playing less Persona 5 than I’d like to. The last thing I ate was this weird gluten-free biscuit thing that was covered in chocolate. I only realised it was gluten-free after I looked at the packaging after eating it. It tasted pretty okay, but I’ve had a lot of better stuff. 5/10

What’s your favourite video game?
First of all, I’m going to say that I hate you for asking this question, but I guess I should’ve seen it coming. Since I don’t have a single favourite, and I’m not going to try to choose one out of my favourites, I’ll just say the first one that was my favourite. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It was also my first video game in general, and it started me off into gaming with pretty high standards, which made a lot of things less enjoyable.

What drew you to CV?
Well, I’m not sure, but I think I found it accidentally. If I remember correctly, I was looking for a page to publish short stories and the like, and I stumbled onto CV. Then my friend told me he used to write for CV, and I thought to myself, well, why not? So, I started with some short stories and then moved mostly gaming related articles.

Where else can we find you?
You can find me at tpub.co.uk, I’m part of that team, and I’m working on the script for a short comic, which I’m really proud of. Otherwise, I’ve only written some articles for the news page of SwissSMP.ch, which is the largest Swiss gaming community.

Who would win in a fight: a kangaroo with one punching hand or a crocodile missing half of its teeth?
I can tell you from first-hand experience that the kangaroo usually wins. It’s a very close fight, but the kangaroos seem to win most of the time. Depending on how hungry the crocodiles are and how often the crocodiles aren’t actually just logs with moss that some drunken idiot pulled out of a creek or a swamp, as well as depending on whether or not the Kangaroo has a Joey in its pouch, the length of the fight varies, but it’s usually about 23 minutes long.

Oh, wait. That was an episode of FRIENDS.
