LITTLE NIGHTMARES 2 CHAPTERS: Wilderness | School | Hospital | Pale City | Transmission

Wilderness, the first chapter of Little Nightmares 2, begins with you awaking in a clearing as Mono, a new protagonist.

Follow the screen to the right and then jump across the two logs. Continue on until you reach a huge chasm. Drop down the platforms on the left side and then climb the wall all the way up to the right on the right by jumping and pressing the grab button, which is R1/RB.

Press on and beware of a bear trap on the floor. Throw a shoe in the trap to essentially deactivate it.

Avoid the bear traps in the next clearing, then take the wood out of the next trap and press X/A to slam it into the following trap.

Continue on, then use the stick at the bottom of the slide to slam down in the fallen leaves to deactivate hidden traps and then throw the pine cones to do the same. There is one more trap before the tree ladder so beware.

Carry on until you reach the house. Walk through the kitchen, then go towards the camera and go left until you see a coonskin cap hat, which is a collectible hat. Go back the way you came, through the slightly ajar door, and then down the stairs.

Once at the bottom, instead of going towards the music, hang a right into the empty room and jump and grab the axe to dislodge it. Drag it to the door where the music is coming from and then press X to smash it three times, opening an entrance. Walk in and greet Six, who will then run away.

Follow Six up the stairs and then through a now unlocked door where a grisly family are “eating dinner”. Proceed up to the cabinet and then climb up, jumping through a vent and into the next room, where Six is attempting to pull something down from the ceiling. Walk up to her and interact and you will both pull down stairs leading to the attic.

Once in the attic, proceed left and then push the suitcase with Six’s help, vaulting it and then a dresser once it’s been pushed enough. From here on out, you can grab Six’s hand, Ico-style, to lead her with R1/RB, and you can also beckon her with triangle/Y.

Proceed to the left and Six will eventually give you a leg up, but not before you notice the key dangling near the ceiling. Once on top of the dresser, drop down to the left and then pull the crank wheel out of the dead old woman’s hands before returning the other way.

Fall off the dresser and then Six will put the crank wheel into the mechanism and start turning it. Jump onto the bodybag and then jump to the left when you can go no higher. You should then knock the key off, which you can pick up. Pull the bottom drawer out of the dresser on the right and backtrack down the attic stairs.

Now at the bottom of the attic stairs, carry on right until you get to the keylock, interact to unlock it with the key from earlier to open the door to outside. Run across the garden, past the outhouse and into a new room. Push the biggest block on the floor with Six’s help, climb up it and then jump up into the chute.

Drop down and continue right until you notice a hooded figure (who looks like Elephant Man) stripping meat from a corpse. This is the Hunter. Crouch and then hug the bottom part of the screen all the way along until you reach a flap, which you should go through with Six’s help. Back outside, the Hunter will start chasing you and shooting, but just follow Six’s exact movements as she hides behind crates behind eventually jumping off a ledge and hiding in an underpass.

Wait for the hooded figure to move on to the right and then follow just behind him, again standing as close to the bottom of the screen as possible. Proceed to the right through the tall grass and then stand completely still once the bird is spooked — he will not spot you. Keep creeping along until you reach a hole in the ground, then jump through it and out of his reach.

Move quickly through the cavern (he will still try to shoot you) and then you will end up back above ground. Continue along the right until you reach a downed bridge. Pull a rope on the bridge backwards so that Six can jump across it. Once she’s across, let go of the rope and then beckon her with triangle/Y and she will then hold her hand out. Take a big run up and then jump over the gap, making sure to use the grab button and then Six will catch you and pull you up.

There’s another hat to collect on the other side of the bridge. Instead of going directly to the right, climb all the way up the cages and then jump off onto the suspended cage. Jump up and down until the cage falls, then claim the yellow raincoat hat from within.

Once that’s collected, keep going right. The Hunter will appear once again, so just duck behind every crate before he shoots you and then jump onto the “ladder” until you get into the roof of a barn. Beware the rickety floor and keep on moving through until you eventually go through another hole and then slide off the roof and into the swamp.

Stick to the little underpass in the water and then start creeping right once the hooded figure moves on slightly. Crouching while in the water will submerge you and put you out of sight, but you cannot hold your breath for too long. You will eventually make your way to a bridge, crouch under it at the bottom and then move along, hiding behind obstructions as you go, until you reach a mini island you can climb up onto. Once on the island, push the tree with a love heart etched into it then jump back down and repeat the same routine until you reach a wall you can climb.

Climb that wall and then jump down. Once you spook the ravens, sprint to the next crate, and then the next, until you eventually arrive at a cabin. With Six bracing the door, jump onto the shotgun on the wall and then lift it with her, shooting it and disposing of the Hunter.

Climb to the right and then through the window, move along the beach, push the door into the water and then jump aboard to sail across. When you hit land, simply walk forward through the open door to finish the Wilderness chapter of Little Nightmares 2.
