Kirby And The Forgotten Road is Nintendo’s latest game in the popular Kirby series, with the pink ball of cute making the transition to fully 3D for the first time ever. Naturally, this move comes with some features and design choices that are completely new to the series. One feature that might pass players by is Treasure Road. Here’s everything you need to know about Treasure Road in Kirby And The Forgotten Road.

Treasure Road is a series of optional challenge missions you’ll unlock as you progress through the game. The levels are accessible on the World Map, but getting to them can require some discovery. As you progress through the regular levels, Waddle Dees that you rescue will point you in the direction of Treasure Road levels, but you can also find them yourself by heading to specific locations and interacting with the prompt that can appear. Basically, it pays to explore, both in normal levels and on the World Map.

The levels themselves are brief challenges and trials based on Kirby’s various copy abilities, with multiple levels to be found throughout the world. Completing them rewards you with Rare Stones, which can be used to upgrade copy abilities later on in the game at Waddle Dee Town. Each Treasure Road also has its own target time, which will net player’s additional Star Coins on completion, which are again used in Waddle Dee Town to purchase different items.

Kirby And The Forgotten Land is available on Switch.
