Hades Could Be On Its Way To PS4

It's in the blood.

Depending on who you ask, Hades could very well have been 2020’s game of the year. It was certainly one of my favourites from last year, but if some recent rumours are to be believed, we could see Hades pop up again on another platform real soon, as PS4 listings have popped up online.

There’s A PS4 Version of Hades Coming?

Over the weekend, those keen-eyed folks over at ResetEra spotted a rating for the PS4 version of Hades on the Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee. Foreign ratings are usually a solid indicator that a game release is happening, so we should expect to see Supergiant’s smash hit roguelike making its way to the PS4, and PS5 likely through backwards compatibility, at some point in the near future.

Will It Be Coming To The Xbox?

As the rating only mentioned the PS4, its unclear if Hades will be making its way to the Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, but there have been rumours earlier this year to suggest it’d happen. In fact, it almost looked certain. A now-deleted tweet from Twitch in March, hyping up Xbox’s indie games showcase, featured Hades as part of the promotional image.

The tweet was swiftly removed by Twitch, but not before fans ran with the theory that the game would be coming to the Xbox. Glenn Gregory, the senior Marketing Manager for ID@Xbox then had to confirm on Twitter that the image was a mistake.

Where Can We Play Hades Now?

For now, Hades is available on PC and the Nintendo Switch, where its managed to find itself a great home. Not long after launch, Supergiant announced that Hades had accumulated over 1 million players, with 700,000 of those players joining during the game’s Early Access period. Hopefully, bringing the game to more consoles will allow one of the best games of 2020 to enjoy even greater levels of success.
