Fortnite Frieza & Cell Skins: Price, Release Date & What You Should Know

Frieza Cell Fortnite
Frieza Cell Fortnite

Ask an anime fan to name some of the best villains in any show and there’s a high chance you will hear about Frieza, Cell or both. The two Earth-hating schemers terrified children across the world when they first appeared in Dragon Ball Z, taking down many fan favourites in the process, and now they’re about to take down many dreams of Victory Royales on the Fortnite island.

This isn’t the first time DBZ has crossed over into Fortnite. In fact, barring Marvel, Dragon Ball has seen the most collaborations with Fortnite since Goku, Vegeta, and Bulma came to the game in August 2022. With Frieza recently being seen in Dragon Ball Super and Cell always being a bit of a smarmy annoyance, they’re almost as iconic as the heroes of Dragon Ball.

Feeling like blowing up a planet or eliminating a protagonist? Here’s the lowdown on Frieza and Cell coming to Fortnite, including how much they cost and when they will release.

Fortnite Frieza & Cell Skins

The Frieza and Cell skins in Fortnite will each have at least one extra unique style (thanks, iFireMonkey). Cell will have his Perfect and Imperfect Cell variants, while Frieza will actually have three: the form he takes when he first appears, the Final Form that gave kids nightmares, and the Golden Frieza form seen in Dragon Ball Super.

Both skins will also have a back bling each, but it unfortunately looks like there won’t be that many other cosmetics alongside them.

Fortnite Frieza & Cell Skins Prices

Most Fortnite crossover skins cost 1500 V-Bucks, as this is a pretty good pricing point and is what the vast majority of skins seem to go for these days. However, Dragon Ball skins have actually based 2000 V-Bucks in the past, though another DB villain, Goku Black, has previously cost just 1500 V-Bucks. For that reason, we’d say that both skins will be available for about 1500 V-Bucks too.

You will also likely be able to buy them as a bundle, as they appear to be within the same set. We’d estimate that they sell for about 3000 V-Bucks or so.

Fortnite Frieza & Cell Skins Release Dates

There’s no set release date for Frieza and Cell in Fortnite just yet, but they’re expected to release within Winterfest, Fortnite’s annual Christmas event, which is due to take place in the second half of December. They will likely also be joined by all of the other Dragon Ball skins released so far for maximum role-playing potential. We anticipate that they will stay in the Item Shop for at least a week.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.
