A straightforward week.

We’re deep into Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 1, and we have now arrived at the Dive! mission which marks week 8 of the season. It’s not unfair to suggest that it’s one of the least interesting weeks for challenges in Fortnite: Chapter 2; there’s really not a lot going on.

From a couple of Supply Drop challenges to those that you should get from natural play, Dive! is bound to be one that most players can power through without much fuss as they cruise their way through their Battle Pass.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Dive! challenges for week 8. Remember that these must be completed in order with new challenges unlocking after completing one; the first three are what will be immediately available.

Fortnite Dive! Challenges

Hydro 16 time trial 1

Deal damage to descending Supply Drops (200)
Drop into Team Rumble as you can get potentially a dozen Supply Drops in just one match.

Eliminations at Hydro 16 or Holly Hedges (3)
Holly Hedges is a moderately trafficked named location, so we’d recommend dropping here to get your elims.

Search a Supply Drop within 10 seconds of it landing (3)
Again, drop into Team Rumble and you should have no trouble at all finding some Supply Drops to open.

Complete the swimming time trials at Lazy Lake and east of Hydro 16 (2)
Here’s everything you need to know.

Eliminations without aiming down sights (3)
If you use a shotgun, this should be a piece of Thanksgiving pie.

Pull an item, pull an opponent, and catch a fish using a Harpoon Gun (3)
You will need to use a Harpoon Gun on one of the fishing spots, which represents a disturbance on the water where you can see fish, to pull an item and fish.

Deal damage to opponents within 30 seconds of using a glider
There’s no redeploy at all this season, so you may have to batter an opponent as soon as you land to get this challenge completed.

Search 2 chests within 30 seconds of each other (2)
Most houses in named locations have at least two chests, so try to get to a house uncontested and you should be fine.

Harvest wood within 60 seconds after landing from the Battle Bus in a single match (300)
Drop Weeping Woods. Done.

Deal damage with 2 different weapons within 30 seconds (1)
Use a Pump to deal a good amount of damage and then swap to your SMG to finish them off. Shouldn’t take you too much time; drop into Team Rumble to make it easier.

You would have thought that with it being Thanksgiving and a long weekend that Epic may have included some slightly more difficult and time-consuming challenges, but alas not.

Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 1 will be extended beyond the usual timeframe for a season of Fortnite, so it’s looking likely that we will get some Overtime challenges most likely centred around Christmas.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
