Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season 3 may have been a bit of a slow one overall, as Fortnite seasons go, but it’s finally time to look forward to the start of Chapter 3 – Season 4.

Titled ‘Paradise,’ Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season 4 is due to kick off on September 18th, 2022. Following what looked like a major leak from incorrectly scheduled ads, Epic were forced to push a few things early, including a website that revealed the season’s name.

As for the exact time that Season 4 will go live on the 18th, Epic will be putting the game into downtime at 2AM ET/7AM ET on September 18th itself, with the game likely remaining in downtime for at least a few hours. On the safe side, expect everything to be back up and running smoothly by 8AM ET/1PM BST on September 18th.

It does not appear that there will be an event ahead of the launch of Paradise, but there’s every chance that there could be a surprise update that includes event files.

As for what the season’s story will entail, that’s currently a bit of a mystery. Paradise will fall within Halloween, so some spooky shenanigans should be expected. Judging from some leaked Paradise trailers, which feature people in the real world being overcome by some silver substance that may have something to do with Midas or someone similar to him, dark happenings are definitely afoot.

Let’s not forget what looks like The Foundation submerged in the substance for the key art, too, suggesting some kind of carry-on from the events of the comics.

In terms of the Battle Pass, we already know that some of the survey skins, including a moody cat in some drip, will be a part of it, as well as Spider-Gwen from the Spider-Verse movie. Who else will make their Fortnite debut is yet to be seen, but with Fortnitemares being such a major part of the Fortnite calendar, you can bet that we will be seeing a lot of Halloween content. Add Fortnite’s fifth anniversary on September 24th into the mix and you have quite the fascinating season to come.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
