Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season 3, while perhaps a little long with some momentum dips in the middle, has been one of the better Fortnite seasons in recent memory. But all good things must come to an end, and that’s the same for Chapter 3’s third season. So, when does Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season 3 end?

Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season 3 will on September 18th, 2022, with Season 4 starting the very same day. The game will go into downtime at 2AM ET/7AM BST on September 18th, 2022, after which Season 3 will officially end.

It doesn’t look like there will be an event to conclude Season 3 as nothing has yet to be found in the files. However, it does seem like a lot of the storytelling this season has been done in comics and quests, so that may be why Epic is holding off on the event. The less events that Epic put on, the more special each one feels.

If Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season ends on September 18th, 2022 as is believed, Season 3 will end up being 105 days long, which is a fair bit above average for a Fortnite season and the longest season since Chapter 2 – Season 2 ran for 119 days. In fact, Chapter 3 – Season 3 will go down as the third longest Fortnite season in history. Epic’s employees often take a short break during summer, so it makes sense that Season 3 has gone on for as long as it has.

Don’t forget to complete your Battle Pass before downtime begins for Season 3, as you won’t be able to make any progress with your levels after that and your Battle Stars will all be reset. Likewise, your Gold Bars will also be put back to 0, so get spending with the vendors around the map while time allows.

From Dragon Ball Z to an array of map refreshes and returning classic items, Season 3 has definitely been one of the longest Fortnite seasons to date, but it doesn’t feel like it’s dragged on as much as it might have. Here’s hoping Chapter 4 keeps up the momentum.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
