Fortnite Chaos Rising: Search 5 Chests In A Single Match

Tick this one off easily.

We’re quickly arriving at the endpoint for challenges in Fortnite: Chapter 2’s first season, though the season itself will run on until early February due to Epic announcing an extension. Before then, though, we have the Chaos Rising mission to beat, with one of the challenges asking you to search 5 chests in a single match.

On the surface, this is quite the tricky challenge with chests being spread out far and wide across the Fortnite map. The busier Named Locations are your best bet for finding as many chests as possible, but there is one, much quieter Named Location that you should consider checking out instead.

Weeping Woods, which is our pick for the best landing spot for Fortnite: Chapter 2, is a central location to the south of Salty Springs that’s almost always undertrafficked. Even if the Battle Bus flies right over it, you should only expect to have one or two other players dropping here with you.

You can get the majority of this challenge done in a single building by breaking through the roof of the biggest building near the chimney and then finding a chest there.

Once you’re through the roof, drop down to the building itself and then you should hear two chests. Break the floor beneath the chimney column and you should find two chests just sitting there waiting for you.

Get back out of the chimney and then hang a right on the second floor until you find what looks like a drying room. There will be a chest in the far corner; you can also break through the roof to land directly on this chest.

With four chests already claimed, you can then make your way over to the smaller building and claim the two chests in there or wander out onto the campsite itself and find a chest underneath a children’s playground “thing” or over by a campfire in the south.

You could even land at the tower overlooking Weeping before making your way to the house beneath it for another chest, and then another on the bridge.

This isn’t the hardest challenge in the world, though landing at Weeping Woods is our recommendation if you want to search chests in a single match as quickly as possible in Fortnite: Chapter 2. Don’t forget that all chests this chapter have a 100% chance of spawning, so some of the frustration has been taken away from the RNG of previous years.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
