Animal Bones are a new crafting resource introduced at the start of Fortnite: Season 6.
Animal Bones can be found after eliminating wolves and boar; the amount each animal drops varies. Frogs don’t drop them and instead give you Stink Sacs.
Wolves, chicken and boar can be found out in the natural areas of the Fortnite island and away from urban locations, such as Lazy Lake. Weeping Woods contains a high concentration of animals. These animals will also drop Meat. Colossal Crops, one of the new POIs for the season, has an animal pen just outside its front gates where boars will habitually respawn.
As for what purpose they serve, Animal Bones can be used to upgrade weapons in Season 6’s new crafting and upgrade system. Most items will need either Animal Bones or Mechanical Parts to upgrade into primal weapons from makeshift weapons.
