Far Cry 5’s Season Pass Includes B-Movie Zombies And The Spiders From Mars

Far Cry 5

One of the keys things people have noticed in the lead-up to Far Cry 5 is how grounded the game appears to be in comparison to the likes of 3 and 4. No tribal hunter sections or weird hallucinations (that we know of), just pure unadulterated action. Turns out there’s a reason for that: Ubisoft channeled all of that crazy into the Season Pass, which has been unveiled today.

The Season Pass will come in 4 parts. The first 3 are designed to be unique adventures given the Far Cry treatment. Hours of Darkness is a Vietnam adventure, with the player taking on the Viet Cong soldiers. Then, things take a turn. DLC Pack 2 is called Dead Living Zombies, which will put players into multiple B-Movie inspired scenarios, with plenty of zombies thrown in for good measure. DLC Pack 3, Lost On Mars, is fairly self-explanatory: you’re lost. On Mars. Also, there’s Martian arachnids. Good luck with that one, I’m hiding behind the couch.

The final part of the Season Pass, and perhaps the best part, is the inclusion of a remastered Far Cry 3, which Season Pass holders will have access to 4 weeks before it goes on sale for everyone. That alone might be enough to tempt players into purchasing, considering Far Cry 3 was one of the greatest shooters of the previous generation.

All of this news coincides with a new story trailer for Far Cry 5, which gives new details on the plight of Hope County, the villain Joseph Seed and – was that a fucking dream sequence? Ignore my intro, I guess this iteration will be just as bonkers as the others then. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Are you excited for Far Cry 5? Has that intensified because of the Season Pass announcement? Check out the story trailer and sound off in the comments below.
