Few images are as synonymous with Cyberpunk 2077 as the young woman from the reveal trailer from all these years ago, synhetic arms and all. She was rocking the Mantis Blades, which are weapons that you yourself can rock within the game itself. But did you know you can get Legendary Mantis Blades for absolutely nothing?
The Legendary Mantis Blades are super easy to find in Cyberpunk 2077, though can be very easily missed as part of a quest by the name of Cyberpsycho Sighting: Phantom of Night City, which is given to you by Regina Jones from a question mark on the map in the City Center location of Night City.
Enter the alleyway and then the quest will trigger with Norio Akuhara killing a member of the Tyger Claws. You can fight Norio by proceeding to the quest marker when he blinds you and then runs away, but you actually just need to right as soon as you enter the alleyway and make a beeline towards the chest. The chest contains the Legendary Mantis Blades, a Mod, pants, and some Eurodollars.
You will need to visit a ripperdoc to actually install the Mantis Blades, however. They can be found all across the map with this symbol:
Select Arms and then install the Mantis Blades for free, back out once done.
The great thing about these Legendary Mantis Blades is that they will level with you, meaning that they will be as strong as you are if you’re finding them really late in the game. On top of that, they do not take up a weapon slot — bring up your weapon wheel and you can scroll between using your fists and your Mantis Blades.
As for the Blades themselves, they are easily some of the most effectives weapons in the game. You can slash them often very quickly to rack up a tonne of damage with a high chance for crits, and you can even hold down down attack to lunge at enemies. They’re like cheat codes, they’re that good.
