Yesterday, Sony announced the two games that would be available as part of the PlayStation Plus subscription for August 2020, those games being Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered and Fall Guys. While you’re still going to have to wait until August 4th to play Fall Guys, you can enjoy MW2 from today.

Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is exactly what it sounds like, as it updates the single player campaign of the original Modern Warfare 2 and adds 4K visuals, updated framerate and textures and improves the experience as a whole. It’s the same treatment that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare received, which was also available via PlayStation Plus once upon a time.
While many would likely have hoped that Fall Guys was available early, there’s still a positive to this news, as you’ve now got a week to finish MW2 Remastered before Fall Guys consumes your life on August 4th. Personally, I’m just hoping Fall Guys knocks Sonic Forces off the top spot of most downloaded PS Plus games.
