It had many amazing fights, unforgettable moments, and of course, plenty of fan service for Dazai stans. But since the overall story still remains incomplete with The Armed Detective Agency still being on the run, Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 is the only thought lingering in our minds.
Shockingly, the anime’s official website confirmed right after the airing of the final episode that Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 is in the works. What’s even more mind-blowing is that unlike waiting four years for a new season like last time, the anime is returning far sooner than anyone could have imagined — like this year soon.
When Is Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 Coming Out?
The official website of the anime states that Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 will be released in July 2023. The announcement came with a key visual reveal as well as a promotional teaser that hypes the upcoming arc.
Bungou Stray Dogs getting renewed this quickly was nothing short of a surprise, but then again, lately, many anime are receiving the same treatment, including the latest sports hit Blue Lock.
What Is Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 About? (Spoiler Alert)
The fourth season’s final episode wrapped up on the Sky Casino Arc that featured The Armed Detective Agency trying to learn the location of the missing page. With Atsushi now finally having an idea of where that is, the stage is set for Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 to commence the Kamui Revelation Arc.
There’s going to be a huge battle with Kamui in the first few episodes of the next season, and then the Decay of the Angel finally put their plan into motion, which weirdly is turning humans into vampires and ruling over them.
Which Studio Is Making Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5?
Despite announcing just recently that they’re hard at work on My Hero Academia: Season 7, Studio Bones will be reprising production on Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5.
The studio isn’t showing any signs of stopping down which would normally be worrying due to quality concerns, but Bones’ track record remains spotless of disappointment. So even though we’d love to see Deku’s battle with All For One be blessed with peak visuals, getting Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 this early is too good to pass on.
Where Will Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 Be Aired?
This will be sad news to hear for some as Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 will exclusively be streaming on Crunchyroll this summer when it releases. Previous seasons of the anime are available to watch on Netflix, and Amazon Prime, but recently, the fan-favorite series has shifted houses to Crunchyroll until further notice.
There’s a chance that Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 will arrive on other services, however, that will only be after all episodes have aired which is unfortunate. That’s still a light burden to bear in front of what could’ve been an unimaginably long wait for the anime’s renewal, but it looks like Studio Bones’ as eager as we are to see where The Armed Detective Agency’s journey ends.
