Season 6 of Apex Legends is live now on all platforms, introducing a new character in the form of Rampart, changes to the World’s End map, a brand new crafting system, balance changes, updates and a whole new battle pass. Check out the official Devstream below which gives an overview on all the major changes.

The biggest addition is the new character, Rampart, who is able to construct cover and miniguns that the entire squad can utilise, making her a very effective team player, especially if you’re looking to defend a certain area of the map rather than go fighting. The map has also seen a host of new updates and changes, including the train being stopped.

Season 6 will also introduce Replicators, a crafting system which allows players to collect various materials through loot bins and material stations. Once players reach the Replicator, they’ll be able to create one of eight pieces of loot depending on the materials they have, with said loot changing on both a daily and weekly basis.

There have also been some big changes to the way armour works in-game, as all the armour has now been swapped with Evo Armour, except for Gold Armour which isn’t on the Evo upgrade track. Players can still find white, blue and purple Evo Armour, which is already pre-leveled and can be upgraded all the way to red. Doing damage will also automatically reward armour, so it pays to get involved with fights, and all armour has been decreased by 25 points.
