Every new month is almost as if Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become a new game, it providing a tonne of new bugs and fish to catch while a few of the older ones leave. From May onwards, one of the fish players can catch is the relatively rare Nibble Fish.
Using Nibble Fish in beauty care was all the rage years ago, them being in tanks that people would then put their feet into with the Nibble Fish eating the dead skin off. The beauty industry is very weird.

The Nibble Fish casts the smallest shadow. It doesn’t look very exotic, it looking a lot like many of the other tiny fish that New Horizons has to offer, but it’s definitely still cute.
Nibble Fish Location & Time of Day
Like most of the fish added to the game for May, the Nibble Fish is available throughout most of the day. The Nibble Fish spawns between 9AM and 4PM each day.
As for where you can catch one, we found ours in the river on the second level of our island. You can, however, just find them in rivers on the ground level. It might be a good idea to travel to a mystery island to try to force them to spawn more.
As always, you will need at least a flimsy fishing rod to catch the Nibble Fish. If you’re having trouble finding one, don’t forget to craft bait so more will spawn in front of you, while also checking that you are fishing at the right times.
Nibble Fish Price
Once you’ve caught a Nibble Fish in New Horizons, don’t forget to turn it into Blathers at the museum to add it to his collection.
When you catch your second Nibble Fish, you can then sell it to Nook’s Cranny for 1500 Bells, which, while not the best price in the game for a small fish, is better than nothing.
You can also hold onto it until C.J. arrives on your island, who will then buy it for 20% more than usual for a price of 1800 Bells. You can also give him three of them and he will give you a Nibble Fish model in return.
When Are Nibble Fish Available Until?
If you can’t find Nibble Fish straight away, don’t worry: they are available to catch from the start of May until the end of September. That gives you plenty of opportunities to give yourself a weird pedicure.
