Rainbow Six Siege Getting Free Weekend On All Platforms

Rainbow Six Siege

If you’re not one of the millions of players already on the Rainbow Six Siege hype train, this weekend offers the perfect opportunity for you to hop aboard. Ubisoft have announced that, in conjunction with Paris Major Championship tournament running this weekend, Rainbow Six Siege will be available to play for free on all platforms.

The event, which will run from August 16th until August 20th, will give players access play all the modes, maps and operators currently available in the full version of the game. Any progress made during the weekend, including renown earned or stars in the situations mode, will carry over to the full game, and if you’re thinking of picking the game up, Siege will be getting a discount on all platforms too.

This news comes in the tandem with the reveals of the latest update coming to Siege, Operation Grim Sky. The new Year 3 update will add two new operators and a reworked Hereford Base, which will change floor layouts and add more space to each floor. One of the operators, Clash, has already been teased. She’s a defender who uses a massive shield that can also issue electric shocks. Expect more details about her and the attacking operative over the coming weekend.
