Amnesia: The Bunker

Frictional Games have announced that they’re working on a brand new entry in the Amnesia franchise. It’s called Amnesia: The Bunker, and it’s set to launch on PC, PlayStation and Xbox in 2023, with exact consoles to be announced at a later date. You can check out the game’s debut trailer at the top of the page.

Amnesia: The Bunker represents a brand new direction for the iconic horror series. You’ll play as an amnesiac French soldier exploring a dimly-lit WW1 bunker, solving puzzles and avoiding an otherworldly creature out to turn you in lunch. So far, it sounds like just another Amnesia title, but The Bunker is going to introduce a host of new features that’ll really change up the core formula.

Amnesia: The Bunker will feature a semi-open world that will allow players the freedom to solve puzzles and approach obstacles with a greater level of choice than before, as there will often be more than one solution to any given problem. The whole environment itself is unscripted, as objects, resources and even threats will change in every playthrough, meaning your experience and someone else’s will be completely different.

Lastly, you’ll also be armed with a revolver, which is a first for Amnesia. Don’t worry, Amnesia isn’t about to turn into Resident Evil, with you blasting monsters left and right, but as a final defense against the otherworldly threats, it’s certainly nice to have the revolver there.
