Things start to brighten up in Memories of Green as Galen receives some good news.

Galen1712– Hey you

Joanne4531 – Hey!

G – I’m back soon!

J – For real this time?

G – For real.

J – I really hope so. I’ll be honest with you, there’s no cake this time.

G – Don’t worry about it, it’ll be good enough just seeing you.

J – Galen?

G – Yeah?

J – I’ve got some big news.

G – What is it? Everything okay?

J – Well I went down to the Administration office downtown the other day, chased up those forms we sent off way back when. The guy at the desk told me we’ve been accepted for a procreation permit!

G – Shut up, no way?

J – Believe it!

G – I can’t believe it! That’s amazing! Jesus I’m speechless. And there was me thinking our finances and backgrounds wouldn’t check out.

J – Well they did babe. We have to enrol him into Patriot Academy after his third birthday, but we can have kids! How amazing is that?

G – I know, I know, I love you so much.

J – I love you too!

G – Listen, I have to call my parents, tell them the good news. Shit, I have to talk to you about them. They’re moving off the farm.

J– Really? Why? Its so nice up that way.

G – I know it is. The Administration said the whole area is under threat so they’re taking them to that new inclusion zone they’ve been building in Hunters Point. Look, can you do me a favour and check in on them until I’m back. Its gonna be hard for them to move.

J – Of course I will, I’ll get in touch with your mother tonight and ask them when they’re moving. I hope they’re okay. I’ll see if I can get some supplies for them. It’s gonna be different living in the city after so many years on the farm.

G – You’re the best. Thank you. Look, I have to go, but I’ll talk to you in a few days. I can’t wait to see you. I love you.

J – I love you too.
