Mad Shelia Isn’t A Chinese Mad Max Rip-Off, Nope, Not At All

Mad shelia

Sorry, the headline might have deceived you. Mad Shelia totally is a Mad Max: Fury Road rip-off and you better believe it’s Chinese. It might be so Chinese that they have misspelled ‘Sheila’, which was probably a tongue-in-cheek effort ti tie in with the Australian roots of the Mad Max franchise, but hey.

In case you didn’t know, Fury Road is one of the best action films of the last few years and, apart from a pretty poor homage from Z Nation, it’s remained fairly intact. So to see Mad Shelia (which looks like your dad and some of his mates got together after a few Tuborgs and had a tipsy fiddle with Final Cut) deliberately plagiarise is a bit of a surprise.

Here’s the poster side-by-side with the original:

If you think that it’s just a spoof or a homage, take a watch of its trailer and try to tell me otherwise. It’s straight up lifted plenty of elements from Fury Road and replaced the feminist messages with outfits for women that not even PS1 Lara Croft would wear.

Hell, at least it isn’t a crowdfunded PS4 and Xbox One rip-off.
