Yakuza Kiwami puts players in the shoes of Kazuma Kiryu, once again, as he takes the wrap for a crime he didn’t commit. After spending ten years locked in jail, Kiryu returns to a Kamurocho that’s completely changed from what he’s used to, while his former Tojo Clan are trying to solve a mystery surrounding 10 billion yen.
Kiwami has been available on PS4 since 2017, while the game was released on PC in 2019. Today’s release sees the game available to download as part of Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC, so if you haven’t played Yakuza Kiwami yet, or you’re just looking to return to Kamurocho once again, today is the perfect day for it.
From our Yakuza Kiwami review:
Early on in the game, you’re told that Kiwami means “Extreme”. While this isn’t an extreme makeover, Yakuza Kiwami is an extremely good retelling of an underrated PS2 gem.
