NXT UK’s final hurrah will be taking place at Worlds Collide next weekend when the stars of NXT and NXT UK will face-off to determine which branch holds more talent. With the liquidation of NXT UK to make way for the upcoming NXT Europe, NXT writers are now looking to unify the two major championships of both the men’s and women’s divisions at Worlds Collide in what should be two very exciting matches.
Tyler Bate and Bron Breakker will face-off to determine who is the undisputed NXT Champion and ‘The Final Boss’ Meiko Satomura will compete with Toxic Attraction’s Mandy Rose to unify the Women’s titles.
Interestingly, the Women’s unification match will also feature NXT UK standout Blair Davenport, who staked her claim at the NXT Women’s Championship, stating that she was the rightful Number One Contender, for reasons unknown. Satomura, ever the fighting champion, then suggested that the match at Worlds Collide become a Triple Threat match.
These NXT UK stars made their presence felt at NXT’s most recent special, Heatwave, most notably when Tyler Bate closed the show by having a stare-down with Bron Breakker. It’s likely that Breakker will walk away with the win here, but if anyone deserves to represent the UK brand on its final outing, then it definitely should be Bate.
There’s currently no word on the situation with the NXT UK Tag Championships, currently held by two NXT stars, so it’s likely that this will either be announced next week or simply left off the card.
