The Outer Worlds Release Date Reportedly Leaked

Clear your schedule this August, possibly.

According to a listing on SteamDB, Obsidian’s new RPG The Outer Worlds will be launching on August 6th 2019. Reference to the listing, which was found by the website Dark Side of Gaming, can still be found on the SteamDB page, but it’s worth taking this leak with a pinch of salt until Obsidian announce a proper release date.

Revealed during The Game Awards in December, The Outer Worlds is a story-driven RPG where you explore a space colony. The story and characters all change depending on the choices you make, a promise that a lot of games have tried to deliver on in the past. With Obsidian, we’re a bit more confident they’ll actually be able to pull it off.

Again, there’s a chance this “leak” won’t amount to anything, but considering the release date was removed from the Steam page so quickly after it was added, we reckon there’s at least some truth to it. Expect a proper announcement from Obsidian in the coming days and weeks.
