Anthem Gets Day One Patch On Day Minus One And Also Day Minus Six Or Something

What day is it?

Anthem

Anthem has received a day one patch a day ahead of its official release date of February 22nd that fixes a lot of the problems early adopters are having with the game since it actually came out in full on Origin Premier on PC for the 15th or on EA/Origin Access for a limited trial version on the same day for PC and Xbox One. Pretty straightforward.

The not insignificant patch weighs in at a meaty 5.2GB for Xbox One and 7GB for PC. The patch notes are varied and range from UI fixes to Challenges tweaks; VG247 have the full lowdown on what to expect. The most important fix, however, may be for the long loading times, which previewers and reviewers have found to be one of the game’s biggest negatives.

To give BioWare credit, this is an exceedingly quick turnaround for the amount of issues that some players have encountered, as well as some small QOL improvements that add up to make a big impression.

Ash played Anthem for ten hours through EA Access and has yet to make up his mind on the experience with it doing just as much right as it does wrong. Those who have played Anthem on Xbox One through EA Access have a ten-hour limit before the officially official launch, for which they will need to have purchased the full game to carry on their progress or just wait until it gets added to the Vault some months down the line.

How about you? Are you picking up Anthem tomorrow or have you been paying to be a QA tester for the past week?
