Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge Coming To PC & Consoles

The old ones are the best ones.

Shredder's Revenge

Developers Tribute Games have announced that they’re working with publishers Dotemu, who are the team behind Streets of Rage 4, to release Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, which follows in the footsteps of the popular beat ’em up Turtles In Time. Check out the debut trailer at the top of the page, which features Faith No More’s Mike Patton doing the show’s theme. I didn’t know I needed that until I heard it.

A Follow-Up To Turtles In Time?

Spiritually, it would appear so, as Shredder’s Revenge features the same retro graphics as Turtles in Time. You can also smack people into the screen, in what’s undoubtedly the best beat ’em up mechanic in gaming history. This isn’t a debate.

Shredder’s Revenge will see the Turtles take on plenty of their iconic villains across locations synonymous with the franchise, from NYC all the way to Dimension X. Between Dotemu’s experience on the likes of Streets of Rage, Windjammers and more, along with Tribute Games, who’ve worked on Mercenary Kings, Panzer Paladin and Flinthook. Some of the development staff even worked on Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game, and the TMNT game for the GBA, so they have the pedigree. Fingers crossed Shredder’s Revenge lives up to the hype when it launches on PC & consoles later this year.
